two free "Nature Walks" monthly in Fort Bragg. One is the first Saturday at the Botanical Gardens and the

The Gardens

Most Saturdays from March 29, through May, take a guided walk and view the Gardens' rhododendron collection. Meet at 1:00 p.m. at the Gardens store. Walks are free with Gardens admission. Renovations at The Beachcomber Motel

The rooms are looking great on our North end. The granite has been put in our kitchenette counters, and in all our showers. Wallpaper is now being put in and looks absolutetely beautiful! Our boys are working so hard to get these rooms remodeled. Be sure and make reservations to check out our new and improved rooms!

Fort Bragg Whale Festival

This weekend is looking super busy with so many activities going on for the Fort Bragg Whale Festival.
Microbrew Beer Tasting and Barbeque at Eagles Hall 210 N. Corry St., Saturday only from noon to 5p.m.
Jughandle Creek Nature Center on-site naturalist will set up guided whale watching walks by reservations and will provide spotting scopes and educational materials. Contack Helene Chalfin, 964-4630
Chowder Tasting at Town Hall, Saturday from 11 a.m. until the chowder runs out, four tastings for $5. Corner of Main and Laurel Street.T-shirts and tote bags available during this event.
2008 Whale Run, Saturday, March 15. 8a.m. start. 10k/5k, 5k competitive, 5k fun walk. For info visit www.soroptomistfortbraggca.org

Point Cabrillo Lighthouse activities and exhibits, Saturday and Sunday from 10a.m. to 4p.m. See tide pool exhibits, lighthouse history, The Frolic shipwreck artifacts, learn from the Audobon Society and The Marine Mammal Center of Sausalito, fun for the whole family. And don't forget the whale watching.

All-You-Can-Eat Fish Dinner

The Holy Ghost Society is sponsoring an all you can eat fish dinner. Being held on March 15, 2008 at the Pentecost Hall, 822 Stewart St. Fort Bragg, CA. Dinner is served : 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Social Hour: 4:00pm. Dinner includes fish, salad, potatoes, beans, bread and beverages. Tickets sold in adv nce $15, at the door $18. Children (5-12) $6 Children under 5 are free. Bunny Camp

Join the Little River Inn family in a Bunny Camp being held on March 22nd for children aged four to eight to celebrate the day before easter. It will take place from 10 a.m. to noon in the inn's Abalone Hall. Bunny Camp counselors are in charge of Funny Bunny Activities that include making bunny cupcakes and cookies and a bunny bracelet, decorating Easter Baskets and going on an Easter Egg Hunt. According to the Head Counselor, the Easter Bunny has promised to drop by. The cost is $10 per child. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Mendocino Coast Animal Shelter. Parents are free.
