Stu Stewart Comedy New Years Eve

Don't miss the New Year's Eve Comedy Show with Stu Stuart, Monday, Dec. 31, 8 p.m., Hill House Inn, Mendocino. His delightfully different slice-of-life comedy is enjoyed by people of all ages. He's proof you don't have to be dirty to be funny. He's sometimes dark, but always humorous. Every once in a while a comedian comes along that really hits home--this is Stu. The Gardens Host Model Skunk Train Display

The Mendocino Botanical Gardens is hosting a seasonal model train display staged by the Mendocino Coast Model Railroad & Historical Society. To see the train, visit the Botanical Gardens, 18200 N. Highway 12 in Fort Bragg. The display will be up through Dec. 24 from 11am to 4pm.

Holly Tannen celebrates the release of her third CD, "Crazy Laughter:
Seven Years with the Spirit of Arthur Rimbaud," with a concert and
party at the Mendocino Art Center, Sunday, December 9, at 3:00 p.m.
Tannen will play the mountain dulcimer and the piano, and perform
satirical songs about Mendocino life, traditional songs from Scotland
and the American south, and her translations of the poetry of
Rimbaud. Joining her will be special guest Marcia Sloane on cello.
Refreshments will be served. A $10 donation is requested.

Holiday Gift Wrapping Party

Join Santa's Elves at Living Light Center for a holiday gift wrapping party. Paper, tape, sciccors, ribbon, holiday cookies and apple juice will all be provided. You can wrap your gifts, have fun, and make a donation to benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Mendocino county. Wrapping station will be open from 12-4 PM on both Saturday, December 15, and Saturday, December 22 in the lobby of The Company Store in Fort Bragg, at the corner of Redwood and Main. See you there!

Holiday Lights Parade

Santa Claus is coming to Fort Bragg Today! Bring the kids to the Guest House Museum at 5p.m. to have their picture taken with Santa and to enjoy some cookies, candy and cider. Every year the Fort Bragg Mendocino Coast Historical Society hosts Santa's visit as part of the city's annual Christmas celebration. The Tree Lighting Ceremony begis at 6p.m. on the museum lawn and the Holiday Lights Parade at 7p.m. For more information, call Mary at (707) 964-9440
