Snow in Caspar

December 1 is the Annual Holiday Fair and Snow in Caspar from 10a.m. to 5p.m. The inside of the Caspar Community Center will be filled with booths offering original arts, crafts and ethnic imports. There will be festival food and drinks, live music and holiday spirit! Outside, a snow-covered hill will be constructed so young children can have a day of sledding pleasure. The Deadliest Catch

On January 20th at 12 noon, at Little River Inn's Abalone Hall, join Little River Inn family member Justin Pyorre as he comments on scenes from the hit Discovery Channel series, The Deadliest Catch, and adds his own harrowing tales of crabbing in Alaskan waters. This amazing afternoon includes dinner of seafood stew; proceeds benefit Noyo Women for Fisheries Disaster Fund. This very popular event sells out quickly, so be sure and call them for reservations. Pudding Creek Trestle Completed!

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is now official! The Pudding Creek Trestle is finished.
This afternoon, November 16, 2007 a small ceremony will be held along with the
ribbon cutting. People will join on the south end of the trestle, and will walk
across it together at 4pm. Now, guests will be able to walk directly accross the
trestle, and right into glass beach!

Caspar 4th Sunday Breakfast

The Caspar Community Center's 4th Sunday Breakfast in November will fall
on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, offering a friendly addition to the
food choices for the holiday weekend. New hours
for the breakfast are 9am to 11:30am. The entree choices this time are
Ultimate potatoes - country fried organic potatoes with red peppers,
onions, mushrooms, etc. topped with melted cheese, sour cream, salsa and
two over easy eggs, served with home baked bread, Tofu Toss - sauteed
tofu with mushrooms, spinach and onions in a Thai peanut sauce served
with home baked bread, Whole wheat and wild rice waffles served with
butter and maple syrup, Warm multi grain cereal served with brown sugar,
raisins, milk or soy milk, also available are sides of bacon, house
pressed organic apple juice, Thanksgiving coffee and assorted teas. This
ongoing fund raiser has served locally produced, organic and delicious
food in a warm hearted country atmosphere with community for almost two
years. The non-profit Community Center is located 1/2 way between
Mendocino and Ft. Bragg just off Highway One. Information at 964-4997

Glass Beach Coastal Trail Project Meeting

A community meeting will be held Tuesday Nov. 13, from 6:15pm to 8:30pm at Larson Hall, St. Michael's All-Angels Church, 201 E. Fir St., Fort Bragg. to discuss the Glass Beach Coastal Trail project. This metting is an opportunity for the public to receive information about the proposed trail, visitor amenities, and interface with former Georgia-Pacific mill site and Pudding Creek trestle.
