Wow! Whales!
Gaby, Front Desk Representative
A lady came in today wondering if you're REALLY able to see whales from here. Later in the afternoon, she came into the lobby SUPER EXCITED because her first time seeing whales, she saw over 10 of them! She sat out on our bluff, over by the cypress trees with binoculars, and was amazed! Just sitting here at the desk, I am able to see spouts every once in a while. Really something you can't miss out on! You need to come stay at least for a day, and check out the whales migrating!

Pudding Creek Trestle
Gaby, Front Desk Representative
Many people are still wondering why the trestle is being torn down. It does look sad to drive by, and to see part of the trestle missing. Fortunately, it IS for a good thing. The construction crew is working hard every day, replacing rotted out beams, and replacing the deck part of the trestle. They have announced that they expect to have an official opening by July 2007! Which is great news to hear! Now, people don't have to walk along the highway to get into town, and it will be an easier way to get to glass beach from the Beachcomber!! I can't wait...

Mornings
Gaby, Front Desk Representative
I have some good news! Our freezing mornings seem to be over. Every year, we have a few days with frosty mornings. Where the grass turns white, and the roof tops of every building... Well, this year, we got a little bit too lucky, and we had a few weeks with frosty mornings! Some nights, temperatures dropped to the 20s! It has been several days, and our mornings are cold, but they are no longer freezing. No need to spray your windshield, to get the ice off!!
